From animation to fractals, creativity and learning are expressed in many shapes, sizes, sounds and writings. Below are a few examples of the imaginative and innovative works created in sessions developed and conducted by Edge Technologies. Sessions were sponsored by a variety of organizations for students ranging in age from 5 to 21. See for yourself what students can create when they have cutting-Edge Technologies!

Ladies on Laptops- This non-profit computer club for girls meets twice each month to explore the many facets of computer technology. Their website showcases their work.

WYSci Program at the Louisville Science Center- Twenty five 8th grade students in the Whitney YOUNG Scholars program learned how to create web pages using Macromedia Dreamweaver. Their website describes their first year in the WYSci program.

Presbyterian Community Center - Students in 4th - 12th grades participated in the PCC Freedom School Technology Program this summer where they created their own school calendar.

Artopia (6-13) Students at the Louisville Visual Arts Association's Artopia Creative Arts Studio created text animation, morphs, and animated .gifs.

Whitney Young Scholars - Fifty students in the Whitney Young Scholars program learned the history, math, and science behind fractals, then created their own fractal designs.

Louisville Youth Opportunity Network (LYON) - Students, ages 14-21, participated in a calendar creation contest where they competed to attend a LYON sponsored calendar creation program with Edge Technologies. The fifteen chosen students contributed artwork, photographs, and monthly taglines and created their own calendar in two sessions at the e-Main facility in downtown Louisville.

Kentucky Country Day School (KCD) - Students, ages 10-14, participated in the "Extreme Computer Publishing" camp where they gained experience in desktop publishing.

Kentucky Gymnastics Academy (KGA) - Computer & Gymnastics Camp (ages 5-11). Students developed their own digital image creations in this week long summer camp.

Louisville Free Public Library - Digital Photography & Multimedia Training Event (teens). View a clip from their final presentation in .mpg format.

New Derby City Rollers (ages 7-14)
Students created their own logo as a result of the NDCR computer training event. This logo now appears on the NDCR t-shirts.
